August 10, 1985

I went to Howard Edelstein’s after I brushed up and cleaned my car battery this morning, using water and baking soda. I had explained to Howard Edelstein (who is a practicing intern) about my sores.
Howard looked at them and said, “Those sores aren’t infectious. I’d recommend you simply apply some hydrocortisone cream.”

I drove over to Longs Drugstore and I got some of the cream he suggested. I also bought some new toothbrushes, floss and two blank tape-recording cassettes.

My next stop was to Magic Video where I rented the videos “Muscle Motion”, “The Outsiders”, “An American Werewolf in London”, and “The Terminator”. I taped copies of the tapes, wondering if it was really illegal. I completed a good workout to “Muscle Motion”.

I escaped for a bike ride and that’s when I realized my rash between my legs was from that long ride that I’d taken last week. I hadn’t been used to a ride like that. I was actually worried about myself. My health is the essence of my life. One’s health is what matters for any one person. I am so glad that I have that “Muscle Motion” show to access whenever I need a quick workout. I am going to commit myself to it regularly.

I decided NOT to go out with Rachelle tonight. Instead, tomorrow will be OUR night.
Oh yeah, Dale dropped by and he wanted me to see Fright Night with him and his pal, Robert. I declined on that invitation. Dale still hung around and accompanied me to my mom’s for a quick bite to eat. I was right in assuming that Dale had NOT quit his second job as a driver for that Escort Service. He just seems to mention less when he is around me.

I am considering a second job. I want to get experience in commission sales. I think Auto Sales experience would help increase my chances for a job in Yellow Page Directory Field Sales. I’ll have to look into it. 

Later, I delivered my videocassettes to mom and dad’s house. I ended up watching “The Terminator” and “The Outsiders” with mom, dad, Tony and Helen. I left by midnight or so and went straight to bed.

I know better now.
I know that the blackest deeds are not necessarily done by those with the blackest hearts.
