"Oh! Anything becomes a pleasure if one does it too often. That is one of the most important secrets of life. One should never do anything that one cannot talk about after dinner."

Rachelle and I decided on Burger King to-go and the VCR at my house tonight. Maybe I can hook-up my new TV. It is delivered today.
Lorraine had said yesterday, “I’ll be home all night, so you can feel free to call.”
I didn’t call. I am glad. I wonder if she’ll call me at work today regarding lunch.
At least Rachelle said she would go to the company picnic in Danville with me.
“I will take pictures of you and Danee on Sunday,” I said as a payback.
It was later that I remembered that I wanted to go to that COORS BIKE CLASSIC on Sunday. Oops.
I had my last break with Mary McTiernan and Dale Orlando but I had to depart because I had to go see Lorraine in the lobby. She was delivering me a cute little teddy bear. Dale took hold of the card because he suspected it was Lorraine. I grabbed it back from him, giving him a dirty look.
“Why can’t you just mind your own business for a change,” I snapped.
Dale went into the building, sulking. Mary and I were left outside to talk. She, too, will attend the picnic tomorrow.
After work I had a drink with Mary, Brenda, Gary, and Jennifer at the Sheraton Palace Hotel. I went home quickly after that and browsed through my postal mail. I received an assigned date of August 12th for JURY Duty.
I drove out to pick-up Rachelle. I ran into Halvorson, the young preppie fellow who works at the video store. He’s Brenda Halvorson’s brother and he recognized my surname. He knows my brother, John, and Sherri Lewis (small world). Alameda is small enough. I chose to rent MANDINGO. Rachelle chose “Rick Springfield IN-CONCERT”. What a surprise choice pick.
We made our move for my bedroom when the phone rang. Rachelle picked up the receiver.
Some girl asked, “Is Keith there?”
“No, you have the wrong number!”
I was sure it was Lorraine.
Then, Greg Manachevitz called while Rachelle and I were at an intimate lovemaking stage. Oh well…we continued and let the answering machine take him on. We started to watch the MANDINGO film but decided not to because it was getting late. I drove her home.
When I returned home Greg called me again.
“Hey Mike, I’m at Chris Deeds’ house. I wanted to tell you that I am going to move in for sure for three-hundred dollars a month and half utilities. So please don’t rent it to anyone.”
“Okay, thanks for letting me know.”
I watched some of the MANDINGO movie and went to bed.
