"Have you suddenly become a sentimental schoolgirl?"

Wednesday
I love buttered toast on French sour dough bread with honey. Chilled milk on the side of it is my favorite. I’ll have it now just to get my day off to a rarin’ start. I do have to work late tonight (until 9PM) for some stupid Easy Access Training with regard to customers choosing their own Long Distance Companies, etc. How boring! At least Margaret Lai will be there. I am taping the DYNASTY episode tonight, so what the heck.
Tomorrow is Thursday and I have a tentative date to see George Jones again after two and a half years. It will be amazingly funny to see how we’ve each improved with age. After all, isn’t that is what’s supposed to happen: ‘Improve with Age’.
I had a few good sales today. It was pleasant (considering) having good results.
At lunchtime I joined co-worker Al Martinez which was probably a mistake. We went to Mary Jane’s Card Shop and he is so slow while browsing. We were supposed to eat lunch but we didn’t leave the shop until 12:50PM or so. He’s kind of dense anyway. I believe it has to do with his history of marijuana use. Believe me in my theory. There has been an excess marijuana usage history where he’s concerned.
I ate a sandwich with Margaret during my last break. I worked overtime until 9PM as planned (for that Easy Access LD Training).
I rushed over to the gym and Russ was just leaving as was the other blond (a guy named Chad). Then again, I was arriving later than usual. I wondered if Leonard had made an appearance. I haven’t seen or spoken to him since Sunday. Maybe I will call him one day to remind him that one’s life depends on the quality of life more so than the quantity.
After my workout I came home and chose to telephone Denise Vinsonhaler.
“Hi Denise, I wanted to call to give you my new telephone number.”
We talked a bit.
She confessed. “I have to confess about standing you up at that Tiffany’s place. I didn’t really think you’d go.”
“Don’t worry about it,” I replied.
“I’ll be at the SHERATON in Concord this Friday night,” Denise hinted.
I may or may not waste my time going.
I thought quietly to myself, “Ah, I’m better off going to my gym. Besides, on Saturday I was thinking of going to Sausalito to check out that HAMBURGERS place.”
I also telephoned Christopher Cordellos who was—at it turns out—flying to Eureka tomorrow. He was planning to return on Tuesday.
Chris said, “I’ll call you and maybe next Thursday I’ll come over to cut your hair.”
“Okay, that would be great because I’ll need a haircut. That’s for sure. The NEW LOOK place that cut it last time hardly cut anything off.”
Chris laughed.
I went to bed after talking to Chris…
