The fact was that they functioned well together, and they had a connection as addictive as heroin.

Saturday
Dale came by my place at 9:40AM and we headed for Ole’s Waffle Shop for breakfast. Suzy Miller stopped by and chatted with us for a few minutes. She was with her teeny-bopper looking roommate. Sue looked rather worn out and thrashed. Her appearance needs work. Get clean and pretty Sue! She has the potential to look hot. I’ll give her a break (since it is Saturday morning).
I also saw Michele Mikami, another high-school classmate with R. Henninger (it feels funny to see these old high-school familiar faces).
Dale and I went to GREAT STUFF. We also talked to the French foreigner who works at PIGGY MALONES, a really fun card/gift shop on Park Street. I drove to Bay Fair Shopping Mall and we saw a vacant space in the mall, adjacent to the RECORD FACTORY. I want to keep our store simple with a focus on quality. I don’t want it to appear confusing like so many stores that we tend to see.
When Dale and I returned to my pad we transferred to Dale’s car and went to see Ashley, my niece. She wasn’t home. I took a random snapshot of my brother, John, since I had just repaired my camera at Brooks Camera in San Leandro. Sherri had Ashley stay the night at a friends’ house on Saturday.
I was back home by 5PM when I napped and left at 6:30PM or so to go to Rachelle Davies house.
Margaret Lai called just before my naptime. She’s a sweet friend. I hope she doesn’t yearn for much more than friendship from me now that her boyfriend has moved out. I really don’t think so but she is becoming friendlier.
Rachelle and I scouted the HAYWARD Cinemas for the right flick to see. I took a photo of her at a phone booth and she became all shy about it. She wasn’t the daring and adventurous type but she started to come around and get comfortable. We went to CARROWS (where Leslie Fonseca used to work as a hostess). I had some juice and potato skins. We had decided on the 10PM screening of BIRDY, a movie starring Nicolas Cage and Matthew Modine. I began to tell her a bit more about Dale Orlando and our plans to start our own business, beginning with a greeting card/gift shop.
“I could be your cashier,” Rachelle said.
“Hey, that sounds like a great idea!”
Before the BIRDY screening we walked up some steps of a bank and exchanged jackets. She was cold (as she always seems to be). We kissed, caressed and got closer.
We watched BIRDY which I thought was a really good movie. The ‘La Bamba’ tune in the film reminded me of Paloma though.

Rachelle and I had a great time. We were both mutually ‘touchy-feely’ during the movie.
On the way to Rachelle’s home my radiator overheated so I had to stop to fill it with water. When I drove into Rachelle’s driveway I noticed her stepfather outside (and suddenly run back inside). It seems that Rachelle not only has an overly protective mother but an OPSD (Over Protective Step Dad).
I went home. I did it. I slept. Yawn.
To be quite honest, he had a trying ability to penetrate her defenses and to get her to talk about personal matters and private feelings.
