“He’d say, ‘Look at me. Do you think I’d be killing myself doing this shit work day after day if it wasn’t anything more than a means to an end?’”

Monday
It’s back to the old grind. It’s hard to wake up now that it’s dark at such an early hour (6AM). I am managing fine though.
Margaret Lai talked me into working overtime on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and possibly Saturday. Wow! Can I really manage that? I know I can. I just hope it will be worth it.
I sent Leonard Perillo a birthday card even though he won’t be back for another fifteen days.
After work I simply went home and did an hour and a half of aerobics and made a visit to the gym. I saw Russ there. He exchanged a few words with me. Buddy was there, too. We spoke a bit. Dave, the Nautilus instructor, was there, too. I simply did my work out. I only did one set on my ‘waist up’ muscles along with twelve minutes on the Life Cycle bike. My aerobics from earlier had already done me in.
Dale did not say a word to me today. I still feel a sense of relief being off the hook for the baptism. It’s just as well.
I received a letter in the mail from CitiGroup Bank about a correspondence course in real estate and wise investing. It sounded very much up Leonard’s alley. I need to get some pointers from him. Perhaps I will one day.
After the gym work out I was home by 9PM, realizing that if I do work overtime tomorrow that this is the time I would just be getting out. Ugh!
Stephanie Redding called. She is back from DISNEYLAND.
“I sent you a postcard.”
“Hum, I haven’t got it yet.”
I poured myself some pineapple-orange juice and munched on a few sunflower seeds before ‘hitting the hay’.
I found hunger improved the taste of everything.
